About Us
Concept Northern are Scotland’s leading supplier of assistive technology, training and Access to Work.
By working closely with Assessors, Educational Psychologists and HR and Managerial Staff we provide people with the technology, skills and confidence to be more productive and happier in the workplace, education and at home.
Our SCQF Level 5 Award
One of our key aims is to see people with dyslexia succeed in employment. That’s why we created our SCQF Level 5 Award. Worth 14 credit points, the award comprises seven comprehensive courses covering key software and business skills.
Working with carefully chosen assistive technology packages, learners are shown how to implement improved reading, writing, time management and communication skills in core business scenarios.
The award is delivered online on our secure learning portal and can be accessed at any time. This allows learners to work at their own pace from any location.
Becoming #WorkReady
We are committed to helping young people with dyslexia prepare for the workplace and secure new employment opportunities. In partnership with Skills Development Scotland, we offer our SCQF Level 5 Award plus specialised employability training and support for those aged between 16 - 24, ultimately leading to a Modern Apprenticeship in their chosen field.
Learners on this pathway will:
- Receive specialist software training
- Develop strategies to succeed in the workplace
- Improve their employability potential
- Gain valuable workplace experience
