Reports To: Headof Family and Carers Support Team/Bereavement Lead
Location: In the person's home/ community or at Birmingham St Mary's Hospice
Hours: Flexible - generally 4 plus hours per week
Making a Difference: The support given by our Volunteer Bereavement Counsellors means a great deal to vulnerable, bereaved people. You can really make a difference by supporting people as they find ways to live with their grief and manage their day to day lives.
Offer bereavement counselling and support to the families and friends of our patients.
Work with people at any point in their bereavement.
Give people the support they need to find ways of coping with their grief

A counsellor with a relevant qualification
An enthusiastic and motivated individual who has 4 plus hours a week available to provide this much needed service
Someone with experience of working with grief
