UEFA EURO 2020 Workforce Coordinator Fixed term contract - September 2019 until August 2020
Contested every four years, the UEFA European Championship has been showcasing the continent's top talent since its inception in 1960. UEFA EURO 2020 will celebrate 60 years of the tournament and will be played as a 'Euro for Europe' in summer 2020 across 12 host countries and cities for the first time.
London and Wembley Stadium will host 7 matches in total between June and July 2020 - three group stage matches, one last-16 match, both semi-finals and the showpiece Final. The organisation: UEFA EURO 2020 is being managed in each participating country by the respective national federation on behalf of UEFA. As the Host Association and national federation for England, The FA is responsible for the overall delivery and coordination of the Local Organising Structure (LOS), working in partnership with the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
With a large number of roles to recruit into the LOS ahead of May 2020, we are looking to hire a Workforce Coordinator to deliver an efficient, effective and high quality recruitment and HR service to the tournaments team. Excellent candidate management is a key part of this role which reports into the Senior Recruitment and Volunteer Manager.
Creation of adverts and role profiles, posting the roles on appropriate channels such as FA careers, Linked In and Global Sports Jobs.
Screen high volumes of applications, creating shortlists in conjunction with line managers
Conduct candidate interviews with line managers across a range of roles for the tournaments team
Ensure an excellent candidate experience from application through to the delivery of constructive feedback for both successful and unsuccessful candidates
Provide general administration support to the Workforce team; for example: production of contracts and offer letters, filing, scanning, note taking etc.
Manage the new starter and on boarding process for new hires along with the end of contract arrangements once the tournament has taken place
Liaise with the FA HR team for all payroll matters, including adding new starters and updating any changes as required
Proven experience in a recruitment role, preferably within a Sports or major event organisation/environment
Experience working with recruitment and HR databases and systems
Experience of generating offer letters, contracts and on boarding processes is required
Experience of working in a fast paced, high volume administrative environment
A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work discreetly and confidentially at all times
