About The Role
Do you enjoy doing DIY around the house? Are you looking for a career change
in a growing and forward thinking organisation? If so, we really want to hear from you.
We have several exciting opportunities available for you to learn all the skills required to become a qualified trades person, within our talented Property Services team. You many have an interest in gas, plumbing
, or kitchen and bathroom fitting
. Perhaps you want to work in the Renewable Technology
field - in which case you will need to hold a plumbing and heating
qualification - we can offer you this opportunity as well (although there will be a wait for this if you don't already have a Plumbing and Heating qualification due to course start dates). Depending on the core trade you wish to specialise in, you could commence your apprenticeship as soon as January 2022. In short, if you would like to retrain, please get in contact with us and we will see how we can support you.
You will be buddied up with various Mentors, who have a wealth of experience in a multitude of core trades. On a day to day basis, you will learn how to carry out regular maintenance jobs in our customer's homes, while working across several teams and locations. This could be installing a kitchen or bathroom, repairing a boiler, plastering a wall or fitting railings. No two days will be the same.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about doing a good job, delivering world class customer service and who are willing to continually learn. Our Apprenticeship programme is a great way to start your career in a trade, learn on the job and gain a qualification and the great news is that you can be any age
to undertake an apprenticeship
- therefore we welcome applications from any age (16 - 65).
We are also able to offer part time
and flexible working
. The apprenticeships will be initially on a fixed term basis whilst you complete your qualifications - the length of which will depend on the apprenticeship you undertake.
Our training provider for the learning element of the Multi Trade apprenticeships have confirmed they will be providing the training in block release format, 5 days at a time and 7 times over the course of the apprenticeship - we will, of course, ensure you have accommodation for these blocks depending on where you live - the training provider is based in Paignton, Devon.
You will need to travel to meet your mentor each day - either to a LiveWest office or at a pre-agreed meeting point therefore you will need to be able to get yourself there.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups, and expect all colleagues to share this commitment. Appointment to the post will be subject to a satisfactory basic check via the Disclosure and Barring Service. About The Candidate
