Job description

As a Test Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring that quality is built into development of all solutions at all stages within the development lifecycle. You will provide expert practice advice and guidance as well as practical advice on complex technical testing issues at project level.

You will be accountable for driving forward the quality agenda in the development of IT solutions and devising and monitoring progress using a range of quality metrics. In addition, you will be responsible for developing capability within the test discipline and increasing knowledge and understanding of the importance of building in quality across the wider development community.

National salary for this role is 38,552 - 40,861 per annum; plus an IT allowance (non-pensionable) of 4,609. If you based in Croydon the salary with London Weighting is 42,099 - 44,262 per annum; plus an IT allowance (non-pensionable) of 4,609.

ResponsibilitiesTo be successful in these roles, you will already be ISTQB Advanced Test Manager qualified in Software Testing; or have a proven track record in Test Management and leading digital teams.

You will have experience of creating robust strategies and plans to ensure the quality of our work is maintained and have demonstrable experience in all testing levels (from Unit to Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT).

As an experienced leader, you will have experience in upskilling others in test automation and test techniques, whilst managing multiple workstreams and the ability to manage risk and implement mitigation plans. In addition, you have experience of continuous integration practices.

We have offices all over the UK and you will need to be based near one of them. This role will be mostly home based with occasional travel to the office depending on business needs.

Where an individual taking up the responsibility will be based in Swansea Office, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
