The Technical Support Services Department is a large, university wide operation that provides bespoke technical support to the Academic Schools, the broader University community and its partners. This professional team of technical staff account for a wide and diverse range of disciplines including Arts and the Creative Industries, Applied Sciences, The Built Environment and Architecture, Health and Social Care and Engineering. Facilities are mainly sited on the large Southwark Campus with an additional specialist Health and Social Care facility located at the Havering Campus.

About The Edric Theatre - The Edric Theatre is a dedicated performance space with a reconfigurable 90-seat main house auditorium fitted with industry-standard lighting, sound and AV technologies. There are also seven studio theatres for smaller events and rehearsal spaces.The theatre and its facilities provide a contemporary performance space in support of drama, performance and technical students in the School of Arts and Creative Industries. It is also available for external hire.
Both facilities have been designed for teaching and focus on the support of a broad range of programmes such as Sound Design, Game Design and Development, Digital Design, VFX, Photography, Film Practice, Journalism, and Technical Theatre.
About the Role - London Southbank University is looking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and experienced Technical Tutor to work as part of the technical team supporting the suite of facilities and the academic programmes in Elephant Studios @LSBU. The Technical Tutor Web Publishing and Design will be responsible for the technical delivery of a range of software packages and associated hardware used on courses across the academic schools and working closely with academic members of staff and other stakeholders in identifying and providing appropriate resources, support and services.
This will involve running technical workshops and software training sessions, preparing resources and material and ensuring the specialist computer labs and associated specialist equipment are ready for technical delivery. The post holder will provide first line support to students, staff and clients on the academic programmes and other enterprise events.
The post is Permanent, Part Time / Term-Time.
