Job description

Technical Product Manager Description:
We are seeking a Technical Product Manager, to drive operational improvements and support our digital transformation initiatives. This is a new role reporting in to the Director for Business Change and Optimisation for Experian IT Services (EITS) UKI & EMEA. The Technical Product Manager's main role is to define, standardise and automate the design, delivery and testing of internal technology deliverables that are key elements of Experian's client solutions. Over the next 1-3 years EITS will undergo significant change as we adapt to new technologies and changing customer requirements, a flexible mind-set is required to achieve targets within a continually changing and challenging environment where effective management of complex data sets using advanced technologies is our strength. We already operate using Agile teams and Scrum/Kanban principles.
Responsibilities:
· Understand and map the demand for internal technical products, including building and owning the business case(s)
· Define standard, re-usable technical products and service offerings providing compute, storage, connectivity and data; on-premises and in Cloud
· Manage and optimise end-to-end cost and performance of products
· Work with technical Product Owners to lead virtual product teams to deliver new products and features
· Establish and maintain operational relationships with key stakeholders who own the demand and consumption for the product set.
· Manage the overall technology product roadmap driven by a value based prioritisation process (commercial benefit, customer need)
· Work with business planning to understand and align with regional business strategies and global technology strategy
· Work with Intelligence/Reporting to ensure value measures are in place and monitored to understand the benefits delivered by productization
· Deliver and maintain technology product documentation and training
· Develop governance standards, policies and processes that clarify accountabilities for product design, delivery and support
· Monitor and respond to internal and external feedback on product performance and address issues that may arise
· Act as an ambassador/evangelist for technical products and our collaborative approach to satisfying internal and external clients
· Work in an effective partnership with key line-managers, process owners and capability managers
Qualifications:
· Educated to degree level in a technology discipline or equivalent experience gained working in or in partnership with a large technology organisation
· 3-5+ years of experience working in an IT/technology role.


Knowledge/Skills:
· Commercial experience gained in a relevant sector
· Strong understanding of relevant technologies and future trends - on-Premises, Cloud and Analytics are key requirements
· Financial skills and cost-modelling ability
· Strong and proven problem-solving skills in change management settings
· Strong English verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent customer skills and the ability to interface with internal/external customers and vendors
· Excellent organizational & project management skills
· Proven ability to work in Agile development envir onments
· Strong teamwork and influencing skills
