The Willis Re Latin America & Caribbean Team is looking to recruit an experienced individual to a Technical Broking Support role. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in broking and the Reinsurance Industry.
Responsible for leading all broking support activities on assigned accounts or territories - to ensure compliance, efficiency and delivery of excellent service to our clients.
Maintain a good understanding of business requirements (for both internal and external stakeholders), Group policy / procedures and the placement process. The role will require effective query resolution, organisation and supervision of work.
Engage fully with the placing team brokers, clients, reinsurers and the client service team.
Client Relationship Management
Understand the Client's business and their reinsurance programmes,
Participate in renewal planning, anticipating and preventing possible issues before they occur
Manage and coordinate workflow around seasonal renewals
Manage and resolve queries from brokers, clients and reinsurers
Strive to improve the overall client relationship
Take a lead role in the review, formatting and preparation of Contract Wordings and Endorsements
Responsible for ensuring all post placement documentation is produced accurately
Coordinate adherence to Compliance requirements and controls in dealing with our clients, the market and third parties.
Involvement in the organisation and preparation of 'submission packs' to reinsurers
Manage the recording and conclusion of all reinsurer subjectivities and conditions
Maintain a good level of understanding for geographical or client specific issues - such as tax, regulations or currency.
Build and demonstrate use of a network, to resolve queries, gain knowledge and deal with unusual or complex business opportunities
Assist team with 'back-up' broking where needed
Undertake travel as required to Clients, Reinsurers and/or other Willis offices
Technical knowledge of Reinsurance business and all servicing functions pertinent to the client
Develop and maintain close working relationships with Brokers & Account Executives
Act as the primary point of contact to Brokers
Establish what key elements of support the broker (or client) requires and values
Look for innovation and improvements
Look to use reporting tools to offer clear, accurate, timely and relevant material
Take a lead role in adherence with Compliance, Legal requirements, industry regulations, organisational policies and Willis Re best practice and professional codes
Technical knowledge of Reinsurance business, Compliance Policy and servicing functions essential for area of responsibility
Educated to Degree standard or relevant industry experience as a minimum
A good knowledge of Reinsurance, in order to address client and technical issues
English (fluency) & Spanish (min. competent / advanced) language skills
London / Ipswich with requirement to travel to other locations as required.
