The Business

Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) is a $320 million business with over 1,150 colleagues operating in 28 countries worldwide. It is a leading provider of advice and technology solutions - primarily to the insurance industry.

As a combined consulting and technology provider, ICT is unique within the industry. Its consulting services advise more than three quarters of the world's leading insurers, helping clients manage risk and capital, improve business performance and create competitive advantage. It is also the world's largest provider of insurance actuarial and technology solutions that include leading software products and enterprise platforms.

The Role

This is a newly created consulting role for an experienced finance expert with a strong background in financial and regulatory reporting in the insurance market.

Our clients are looking to transform their finance functions to become more efficient and deliver fast, insightful reporting. The new FRS17 standard has opened-up the cross-over between actuarial and finance processes and we are working with our clients to support the changes that are required.

This is not a reporting role, but will instead leverage technical accounting knowledge and reporting experience to play a key role in the development of ICT's global finance solutions.

The role will also support teams on a variety of projects and sales initiatives by providing accounting knowledge to complement the deep actuarial knowledge within ICT.

The Requirements
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of IFRS17 - details of the standard and practical issues
  • Strong technical knowledge & understanding of other financial and regulatory reporting standards as they relate to insurance
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-experts
  • Comfortable in sales and business development situations
  • Ability to thrive in a complex multi-team, multi-skill, multi-client environment
  • Experience of dealing with actuarial teams

    This role will be based in the UK, but will involve travel.
