Location: Currently based working from home but in the future we will expect presence in our Wimbledon Head Office (there may be times you can work from home)

Contract Type: Permanent

We are excited to announce that we are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our busy and expanding finance team.

Reporting to the Tech & Engineering Finance Manager and as part of the UK Business Partnering team, the Finance Analyst will provide support to the Finance Manager and on occasion to the wider Business Partnering team. The successful individual will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure data integrity, review and implement new processes to the wider business.

The Finance Analyst will provide cost centre support for the Tech & Engineering department, understanding performance against budget and forecast.

About The Role:
  • Support Finance Manager in Month End process including:
    • Review of monthly transactions.
    • Creating journals where appropriate for posting.
    • Prepare month end accruals and action Prepayments.
  • Assist in the production of monthly management accounts including comprehensive understanding and analysis of cost drivers and variance analysis.
  • Review of Fixed asset register ensuring accuracy.
  • Monthly reviews with relevant budget holders to discuss performance against budget, effectively tracking risks and opportunities.
  • Coding of Tech & Engineering PO's and in some cases invoices. Ensuring costs are allocated to projects and time sheets are reflected accurately where appropriate.
  • Collation of T&E overtime for processing and production of monthly reporting.
  • Assisting with forecasting inputs, producing consistent and accurate financial outputs driven by efficient models.
  • Any other activities required by the wider team in supporting the Business Partnering team.

**Please note that initially, the role will be based working from home but will move to a hybrid model of home and office-based working in the future.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Excellent attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and teams.
  • Good excel skills and knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Previous experience using accounting systems such as Cognos would be desirable.
  • Good commercial awareness.
