AIG is seeking a legal specialist to support its expanding Political Risk, Structured Credit and Structured Trade Finance businesses. With an increased focus on Structured Finance (both single situations and portfolio transactions), the position will support the underwriting of Sovereign, Corporate and project / asset finance businesses which sit within the Political Risk family of insurance products, together with complex Trade Finance products, including Supply Chain Finance, securitizations and asset-backed lending.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing franchise which is earmarked for growth within AIGs Credit Lines businesses. The position will be based in London, reporting to the Head of Political Risk, and sit within the wider global Political Risk Department.
Requires broad experience of financing structures and legal documentation, including funded loan documentation and insurance policy wordings, ranging from vanilla unsecured financings to more complex structured transactions including the use of collateral.

Proven senior level experience in drafting, structuring and negotiating structured finance and loan documentation
Knowledge of Basel capital rules on capital efficient risk mitigants, Insurance Act and other insurance policy considerations a benefit
