University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is excited to offer the opportunity of Specialty Doctorposts in our Emergency Medicine department at St Richards Hospital in Chichester.
We are looking for ambitious forward-looking Specialty Doctors who are looking to develop a career in Emergency Medicine. We are committed to actively supporting our Specialty Doctors to progress to Higher Specialty Training or Consultant posts via the CESR route. We have a weekly Middle Grade education and development programme. We also provide active support and training for doctors who are sitting the MRCEM and FRCEM exams. We are looking to create rotational posts between Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine and Anaesthetics in order to help develop Specialty Doctors to gain training posts.
The rota is based on gold standard rostering systems as advised by the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, using semi-self-rostering in an annualised system. We are also signed up to EMTA's Rest and Rota Charter.
The clinical work will be on the senior middle grade rota depending on previous experience and competence.
These roles will allow the time and flexibility to develop into the doctor you want to be.
The opportunities really are endless and we encourage you to talk to us if you have something in mind that interests you and would be mutually beneficial to the department.
