Job Duties:

Mentor® A Siemens Business in Nottingham is seeking C++ SoftwareDevelopers. We are looking for team players to join our world-wide, multi-sitedevelopment team. You will responsible for designing, analyzing requirements,developing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining Mentor'selectronics cooling products.

  • Ensure that code adheres to standardsand best practices for performance, speed, scalability, and quality

  • Practice Agile development methodsand exemplify core Agile values of transparency, collaboration, acceptance ofchange, and iterative development


    As a member of the SimcenterFlotherm team, your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuringhigh-quality and robust implementation of core CFD solver components

  • Supportingmaintenance of existing capability (bug fixing, code refactoring, etc.)

  • Design anddevelopment of new features based on requests from both product management andinternal strategic initiatives

  • Participating inregularly scheduled team meetings and contributing ideas to drive innovation inour technology

  • Supporting otherdevelopers through design discussion and code review

    Required Knowledge/Skills, Education,and Experience

    Candidates applyingfor this position are required to have the following skills and experience:

  • Master's Degree orPhD in an Engineering, Computer Science or a physical science discipline.

  • 2 years' commercialexperience in object-oriented C++ software development

  • Expertise indevelopment of complex software applications using modern design patterns andprinciples

    Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education,and Experience

    In addition,preference will be given to candidates with the following skills andexperience:

  • Experience innumerical modelling, CFD, or other CAD/CAE applications

  • Experience inareas of physical science: thermodynamics, heat transfer

  • Experience inreduced order modelling
