Our world is under threat like never before. Now is the time for action and if you are an experienced social media professional, your planet needs you. This is a unique opportunity for a Social Media Manager to join the world’s largest independent conservation organisation in the fight for our world.
At WWF UK, we have achieved tremendous growth across our social media channels in recent years, providing engaging content about our work to more than 1 million people across a range of platforms. As Social Media Manager we want you to help us reach new audiences, deepen relationships with our supporters and mobilise millions in the UK to support our work to save the planet.
We will look to you to engage with internal and external stakeholders and take the lead on social media campaigns. You will need to create media plans and innovative, bespoke content to support our influencing, fundraising and brand goals. You will get involved in social media moderation and community management and help build the capacity of colleagues to ensure we maximise our social media presence. You will also deliver regular reporting, covering social media channel and content performance. Important in this role will be the ability to work across the organisation, supporting the work of other teams, including WWF International.
You must have experience of delivering social media channel strategies for a high-profile organisation as well as of creating and delivering social media content plans. You will demonstrate the ability to understand digital communication briefs and create strategic responses to reach campaign or organisation objectives. You will also have a strong understanding of what content works and does not work for specific social media channels and audiences.
You will be used to managing communities and moderating social media and familiar with using social media community management systems (ideally Falcon) and social media listening tools (ideally Linkfluence).
In addition to your technical skills, you will be a strong project manager, who enjoys collaborative working and possesses a passion for quality and innovation. You will be a good communicator, with excellent awareness of the media landscape.
If you are able to bring creativity, ingenuity, and cutting-edge ideas to the delivery of our digital content, we would love to hear from you. Please visit our website via the link, complete the online registration and submit a copy of your up to date CV with cover letter highlighting why you are why you believe you are suited for the role.
