Social Media Manager

Heathrow is one of the top 10 big UK brands and one of the world's largest international airports. Each year over 73 million passengers choose to fly through Heathrow on one of over 80 airlines to over 180 different destinations. We are well established in the social media and digital space providing customer service, experiential and commercial services to passengers through these channels.

We are currently looking for Social Media professional with excellent knowledge and experience of digital channels, content production, marketing, platform monitoring and analysis tools who can help us grow our media engagement with passengers and commercial gain.

About the role

You'll deliver real time response and proactive content on social media to drive passenger experience, enhance our reputation and raise commercial revenue. This will include working collaboratively with commercial teams and external partners to develop and deliver tactical content marketing plans and identifying relevant social channels and target audiences.

Essential Skills & Experience


• Extensive demonstrable experience of managing social channels and planning and implementing successful social marketing campaigns including real time social media feeds and autonomous messaging with associated risk and reputational ownership
• Expert in rich content creation for social channels with strong copywriting skills
• Excellent planning and organisational skills and able to lead and manage others to deliver to tight deadlines and to high standards.
• Credible and authoritative -able to give sound advice and show good judgement on the strategic and tactical use of social media to achieve outcomes and objectives.
• Expert in utilising social media monitoring and analysis tools to report on ROI.
• Strong experience developing and managing paid media advertising campaigns.
• Ability to manage communications in times of crisis.
• Flexibility to work as part of the on-call roster for disruption and crisis management.
• Experience working with Eastern social networks is advantageous.
