About this vacancy
Applications are invited for the post of a Post CCST Shoulder and Elbow Fellow commencing October 2019. The successful applicant will gain closely supervised exposure to all aspects of Adult Shoulder and Elbow elective and trauma surgery at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, Princess Royal Hospital and the Sussex Orthopaedic Treatment Centre in Haywards Heath. A structured timetable of activities will be provided under the supervision of three Consultant Orthopaedic surgeons.
The successful fellow will be given active support with clinical research and will be expected to present and publish this work as appropriate. This post does not attract an NTN and does not lead to the award of CCST but is aimed at a Specialist Registrar who has completed their training and wants fellowship experience in Adult Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. FRCS (Tr.& Orth) or equivalent is essential. There are no on call commitments with this post. Salary will be on the appropriate point of the Specialty Registrar salary scale. In accordance with Home Office regulations, applications from candidates who require a work permit to work in the UK may not be considered if there are sufficient numbers of other suitable candidates from UK\/EEA. Non-UK\/EEA applicants should ensure they are aware of the recent changes to the Immigration Rules.
