Service Manager Strategy and Service Development, People Services

Grade: HoS1 - £50,289-£67,050

Job Reference: 5423

Contract Type: Permanent/Full-Time

We are looking for a creative and effective individual to join our Strategy & Service Development Service as a Service Manager within the People Services department of the Council. Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Service Development, you will manage a team of up to five service development managers working across a wide portfolio of projects supporting children, adults and older people. You will work with partners across the council and with key statutory and non-statutory partners, leading on the development of strategy, policy and the delivery of an ambitious programme of work, including capital projects, which will provide value for money and high-quality support services to some of the most vulnerable people in our borough.

Your intellect, interpersonal skills and experience of building effective relationships across organisations and systems is essential. In addition, you must have a strong track record of commissioning and the ability to shape, manage and drive projects /programmes to deliver clearly identified benefits.
