The Senior Technical Architect (STA), will provide technical architecture expertise across the portfolio delivered by the Business Technology & Transformation (BT&T) team.
The STA will ensure effective Technology Roadmaps are produced and delivered in support of the integrated Business Unit Technology Strategy, facilitated by Business Technology Partners.
The STA will participate in evolving technical architecture methodologies, processes and tools to drive maximum value in the delivery of effective architecture practices, design and controls.
Utilise expert technical knowledge of application and infrastructure architecture techniques and tools to support the creation of technologies and ensure robust and innovative application and infrastructure architectures.
Actively participate and direct the conception, planning and design of LGR's strategic technology projects to ensure that initiatives are impacted and, where appropriate, conflict or compromises are escalated to ensure alignment with Business and IT Strategies.
Maintain a complete and accurate repository of application and infrastructure architectures across the BT&T portfolio to support the evaluation, definition and design of new solutions.
Work with internal and external bodies to maintain an up-to-date view of emerging technologies so that they can be exploited to support the future direction and requirements of the LGR divisions.
Liaise and work with other architecture teams across the Group to ensure that BT&T implementation of dependent technical solutions align with technology delivery timetables as appropriate.
Ensure that the principles of Conduct Risk are embedded into your day-to-day operations to deliver good customer outcomes at all times. Ensure that all business processes and internal controls within your role are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk
Degree and/or MBA educated- desirable but not mandatory or suitable comparable/demonstrable role experience and capability
Architecture, Prince2, Project management and/or Agile qualifications - desirable but not mandatory
TOGAF 9 or higher/Adkar & change qualifications - desirable but not mandatory
Regulated Industry background preference
Technology Architecture roadmap creation and transitioning planning to assist correct sequencing of portfolio delivery and execution
Experience of driving and implementing consistent designs and roadmaps across complex geographical / functional matrix organizations in line with Architecture principles and technology standards
Proven track record of architecture support to effective delivery of large, complex, change and technology initiatives
Experience of managing effective relationships to ensure appropriate technologies are leveraged and implemented
Proven background in adapting to trends and openness to new ideas
Ensuring Architecture strategy and planning confidence across all levels with technical and non-technical audiences
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work independently focusing on priorities, and managing a high volume of tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions
Effective at making good decisions and delivering great outcomes in line with BT&T strategy and collaborative worker who freely shares their knowledge and experience
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence a broad range of individuals across various internal and external businesses and support functions
Good influencing skills, ability to develop and mentor individuals
