As a Senior Analyst in the role you will:
\u00a7 Take ownership of the requirement analysis process for particular work items taken into the Global Video Platforms roadmap. Evaluating riskas and predicting potential problems.
\u00a7 Work alongside Solution Architects to assist the design of reliable and resilient services in accordance to industry standard methodologies.
\u00a7 Document service spec APIs and sequence diagrams.
\u00a7 Facilitate estimation sessions with your development team to obtain high level roadmap estimates and RAID logs.
\u00a7 Facilitate planning sessions and be able to stand-in for the scrum master when required.
\u00a7 Break down not only functional requirements but also non-functional requirements into user stories and be able to present these to your development scrum team.
\u00a7 Understand how components integrate with one another and how to make those integrations resilient and reliable.
\u00a7 Be highly available for ad-hoc questions\/queries and support development teams during development cycle.
\u00a7 Be highly organised and able to manage the dependencies of requirements across multiple teams\/departments.
\u00a7 Mentor more junior analysts within the department and within Sky as a whole.
\u00a7 Hands on, demonstrable experience of defining and documenting requirements for delivery into Agile Scrum teams and translating these into technical solutions
\u00a7 Hands on, demonstrable, experience of preparing user stories & accompanying documentation for REST based services.
\u00a7 Excellent understanding of the inter-relationships between different technical areas and also business areas
\u00a7 A clear understanding of all stages of the systems delivery lifecycle and experience working closely with software engineering teams.
\u00a7 An understanding of what is important when building highly available, highly reliable REST based services.
\u00a7 Good written and verbal communication skills. Adept at translating complex technical concepts into meaningful recommendations.
\u00a7 Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
\u00a7 Demonstrates enthusiasm for playing a key role in ensuring departmental delivery is protected at all times; being highly approachable and available to facilitate on-time delivery
