Job description

Senior Relationship Manager

Salary: £41,910 per annum, plus excellent benefits

Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced cultural professional to take up a position as Senior Relationship Manager at Arts Council England. The role is part of the South East Area Management Team which covers the East and South East regions with workspaces in Brighton and Cambridge.

This post is one of four Senior Relationship Managers within the Management Team and is attached to the Cambridge based team and its relationships across East of England, working in partnership with stakeholders and monitoring organisations and projects.

Core to the Senior Relationship Manager role is the line management of a team of highly skilled Relationship Managers and we will want applicants to demonstrate a strong approach to line management and leadership. Senior Relationship Managers hold the South East Area overview for national policy areas such as Diversity, Touring, International or Strategic Partnerships amongst many others. These policy area responsibilities are determined by the skills set of the whole team rather than permanently assigned to a specific post, so applicants will need to demonstrate an ability to think strategically, be adaptable and work collaboratively rather than have specific expertise in any one of the Arts Councils policy areas.

The South East Team promotes Smart Working practices which allows excellent flexibility and ensures staff have resources to work remotely, be productive on the move, and maintain a healthy work life balance.

A n open and flexible approach to this way of working and embracing digital technologies will be of high importance. Whilst the successful applicant will be expected to have a good presence across the area and with the Cambridge based team, a local home base is not of vital importance.
