Job description

Amazon is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a strong delivery record to own and manage the sales and operations planning program. This role will require working with business customers to deliver unit-based sales and operations plans while managing to physical capacity constraints. In addition, the role requires a leader who can develop new products/programs, across multiple business units, to improve existing capacity and planning solutions.

Responsibilities include:
• Ownership of a high-visibility sales and operations plan for internal customers. Ensure on-time delivery of the plan, providing customers with a short and long-term view on expected volumes and capacity, which are critical inputs for these teams to run their operation, transportation and labour planning.
• Form cross-functional project teams to execute complex projects across multiple organisations and stakeholders.
• Create and drive initiatives to improve sales and operational planning accuracy and capacity utilisation.
• Partner with key teams across the company to lead, support, and influence new planning initiatives

• Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding the product, our business, and the competitive landscape


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other technical field from an accredited university or years of Amazon experience
• 5+ years' experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis
• 3+ years' experience in operational planning and capacity planning
• Advanced knowledge of Excel is required, including use of lookups and pivot tables.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MBA and work experience in supply chain, operations planning, and or transportation planning is highly desired
• Prior experience or use of Lean/Six Sigma
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of VBA, SQL, R, or Python
• Experience with research science models used to inform operational planning
