Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is a rapidly growing, global operation unit, which significantly impacts the customer experience. The team is looking for a detail-oriented, highly analytical, innovative, hands-on, technically skilled, and customer-obsessed Senior Program Manager who will help developing a best-in-class middle mile planning for the European Marketplace to deliver high quality customer experience while minimizing cost and improving fulfillment speed. The candidate will also lead the capacity management efforts for linehaul (LH) freights across Europe. As a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible to build strong partnerships with the pan EU and WW tech stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve business performance (Costs and Speed), to eliminate defects at the root, and shape future business planning.
We are looking for someone who can design an innovative approach on how use performance data to build strong partnerships across the organization and build excitement and enthusiasm on using internal and external customer insights for business decision making. You must be an experienced Program Manager with a proven record of delivering large-scale change and performance improvement using qualitative and quantitative data. You are comfortable to negotiate with senior stakeholders across the business to drive improvements and shape the experience on behalf of the customers. If this sounds interesting thus far, read on.
Key Responsibilities (include below but are not limited to): • Define the direction and roadmap for the capacity program (business and tech), gain consensus and clear alignment across Transportation functions. • Drive the agenda of senior leadership and make sure the organization addresses the highest-impact topics, appropriately balancing short-term gains with long-term goals • Develop in-depth understanding of processes, tools, data, and teams involved; identify gaps (or overlaps) and opportunities, and initiate high-impact projects based on analysis • Manage and interact with cross functional teams like and align with tech teams globally to ensure required tech support • Ensure transparent and consistent reporting of status, progress, impact, and risks; ensure appropriate action is taken to maximize impact and mitigate risks
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering or Business Administration, or a similar related discipline • Significant years experience in program, project or product management • Ability to develop and drive scalable solutions independently; inception to completion • Strong analytic skills • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, tech teams and international stakeholders to influence and drive results • Strong ability to deal with ambiguity, to effectively prioritize, to multitask and to work with tight deadlines in fast-paced environment • Business fluency in English
• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering or Business Administration, or a similar related discipline • Proven Program Management experience in supply chain, transportation, or logistics • Advanced computer literacy (Excel, Word). Proficiency in Tableau/SQL (Python is a plus) • Lean Six Sigma certification
