The focus of your role
The UK Procurement team is currently recruiting a Procurement Manager to support the Portfolio Management capability within the group. This role will provide an opportunity to work in Capgemini Procurement providing support to a client based in Barrow in Furness reporting to the account Senior Procurement Manager.
What you'll do
Manage the 3 or 4-person Commodity Procurement team on a daily basis to ensure the workload is manageable and that the team are performing in meeting the contracted SLA's
work with the Project Services team to get and accurate demand forecast of up and coming work and monitor the monthly throughput for the team to ensure we have enough resources to meet the projected demands.
Ensure any failures in in meeting SLA's are investigated and dealt with and that plans are put in place to rectify this and bring the performance back within the agreed SLA.
input to the account monthly reporting to ensure procurement throughput, requests for quotes, orders etc are accurately reflected and measured
work with the Software compliance team to ensure that annual maintenance contracts are renewed in a timely manner and for the agreed number of licenses, and any additional license purchases are reported back into the software compliance team.
work with the service delivery management team to drive procurement service SLA's, Service improvement programmes, deliver monthly reporting to determine performance of the procurement service.
Liaise with the Senior Procurement Manager and the UK Procurement Category Procurement team and work to bring the latest enhancements and innovative solutions to our client.
Be the Performance Reviewer for each of the team members providing career advice, guidance, mentoring, as well as carrying out mid-year and end of year performance reviews.
Become proficient with our procurement tools such as GPS and SAP eSourcing
What you'll bring
Successful candidates would have experience working across public and/ or private sectors must be able to demonstrate a high capability in:
Managing a Procurement Desk with a team of 3 to 4 individuals based on site to include managing to SLA, reporting etc
Vendor Management including annual maintenance renewal negotiations, performance management, achieving procurement saving targets for the account, vendor escalations.
Product knowledge including hardware, software including licencing metrics, storage and maintenance.
Interpersonal skills both verbal and written when dealing with internal and external clients and vendors
Excellent team player
Self driven to achieve savings targets
