About the Role

Location:Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The Senior HVDC Manager will have the following duties and responsibilities:

- Provide senior technical leadership and support to HVDC cable system projects, through development, construction, final handover and beyond, into operation & maintenance phase.

-Assess technical risk, and provide clear and balanced technical recommendation to senior project management.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, to cable engineers and trainees.

- Contribute to the development of technical policy, standards, specifications and guidance, for HVDC cable system engineering.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

-Qualification of minimum BEng level in a relevant electrical/mechanical/systems engineering discipline.

-Demonstrable technical skills, knowledge, and experience for the lifecycle of an HVDC Transmission cable project.

-Enthusiasm to embark on the challenges associated with delivering high-value, complex construction projects - in time, on budget and to specification.

-Experience and understanding of electrical transmission projects, NEC contract management and CDM regulations.
