As a Senior DevOps Engineer , you will be part of the Global Cloud and Platform Services Team responsible for engineering, enhancing and transforming our mature AWS footprint. The position offers scope to work on new cloud engineering standards and patterns, alongside creating and supporting a growing suite of modern tools and products.
The Senior DevOps Engineer is a hands-on technical position that requires a breadth and depth of technological understanding, to ensure progress in both working practices and ongoing support. We are looking for those with a passion to work in cutting edge distributed computing environments who have a strong understanding of Cloud principles and are constantly seeking ways to improve stability, reliability and scalability of our cloud services. Responsibilities:
Design, build, automate and deploy cloud platform solutions using AWS
Maintaining and Supporting our CI/CD Pipelines across all environments (Travis/Jenkins)
Perform technical troubleshooting for AWS cloud environments
Managing source code and package repositories such as GitHub, Nexus and Artifactory
Collaborate with Engineering teams to identify Platform needs and issues
Create and maintain monitoring and alerting capabilities (DataDog, CloudHealth, AlertLogic)
Implement infrastructure capabilities in an automated cloud world
Assist in the migration and automation of legacy platform from a data center into AWS
Strong knowledge of Linux OS, (RHEL, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, Windows)
Experience in scripting languages - Python, Bash ( Knowledge of Troposphere and/or Boto3 is beneficial)
Automating, Deploying, and maintaining AWS cloud based production systems, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of productions systems.
Good understanding of web security and DevSecOps principles
Strong knowledge of container solutions (Docker and/or Kubernetes )
Knowledge of network design, configuration and administration
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, e-commerce environment
Ability to work across global teams and working with different cultures across different time zones
