Our Global Delegated business has grown very quickly in recent years and we are looking to accelerate this growth through new senior hires. In the UK, market dynamics are particularly attractive, with multiple factors driving increased interest in delegated. This spans both Total Fund (i.e., full delegation across all asset classes) and Specialist Solutions (i.e., partial delegation of a 'sleeve' of the portfolio).
As an Investment Strategist you will be responsible for delivering customised Delegated solutions which solve our clients' problems. You will be part of a team of c12 senior UK colleagues collectively responsible for delivering our revenue growth goals by engaging across different sales channels (e.g., investment consultants, retirement actuaries, intermediaries, independent Trustees etc).
Form strong relationships with the broader Strategist team, Retirement and Investment resources to identify prospects and articulate their goals and objectives
Contribute to the development of innovative and best in class thinking and solutions
Manage and support the creation of bespoke persuasive and high quality prospect and client deliverables
Manage all phases of the business development process from pipeline generation to closing
Develop sufficient subject matter expertise across our solutions to lead prospect meetings, including finalist pitches, to generate interest in our solution
Identify the strongest team for each prospect situation, drawing on specialists when required
Opportunity to contribute to the development of the collective skills and experience of the whole team
Proven actuarial, investment and/or distribution experience likely gained at a consultant or an asset manager
Proven track record in managing client relationships, generating and progressing prospect opportunities within DB Investment industry
Display of broad business development skills which will complement the specialists in the team, including the creation of bespoke messaging and conducting meetings with persuasion and empathy
Individuals will be responsible for developing their own prospect pipeline, but will be required to contribute to the collective development of solutions and the resultant success of the team
Motivation to nurture and develop forging strong industry and client partnerships
Proven track record of building strong relationships internally and collaborating effectively on cross-functional teams including bid management, Retirement, Portfolio Management, Operations etc.
