EY's Global Entity Compliance & Governance team (ECG) team are looking for a Senior Consultant to support their increasing global engagement portfolio. This is a great opportunity to join a global professional services firm to work with a variety of clients on exciting global projects. We are looking for a Consultant to help provide day-to-day support across the global engagement portfolio and the local EY networks.

The opportunity

Our Global ECG team, which complements the work of our GCR (Global Compliance and Reporting) team, provides a much needed solution to help multinational clients manage the increasing regulatory and legislative demands they face in fulfilling their statutory compliance and reporting requirements. The team specialise in coordinating the outsourced compliance work for some of EY's largest clients in EMEIA and worldwide.

Your key responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing work on key client accounts, where they will be responsible for the coordination of multi-jurisdiction engagements. They will act as the day-to-day support for the central engagement team, driving the annual compliance deliverables through to completion and facilitating the communication chain between the central team and the local EY offices. In addition, a key component of the role will be the updating and maintenance of the clients' legal entity management databases as well as assisting with the billing process.

The applicant should also have 5-7 years experience coordinating multi-country projects in a client facing role. The applicant should also have experience managing the work of more junior team members based in different geographic locations.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Overseeing in the coordination of multi-jurisdiction engagements, including , transition, health checks, on-going delivery and billing
  • Client reporting and delivering regular status meetings/calls
  • Ensure client's legal entity databases are updated accurately and efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with the core central management team and the local EY offices
  • Liaise, coordinate and provide regular reporting to central management team in London
  • Liaise with other internal EY teams
  • Liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors
To qualify for the role you must have

  • Degree or equivalent educational qualification or higher
  • Company secretarial experience
  • Experience working on multi-jurisdictional projects
  • Good knowledge of the Excel, Blueprint and other entity maangement systems
Ideally, you'll also have
  • Good understanding of corporate governance
  • Additional language skills, f luency in English and Chinese written and spoken
  • Experience working in a professional services firm and client delivery
