As a Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure) you will be part of the Azure Platform Team who have a key function in the provision and maintenance of the HM Land Registry (HMLR) remote working solution and back office applications hosted in Microsoft Azure.
Within this role you will engage with multiple teams in HMLR and will be involved in the process of designing, deploying, and developing the services hosted in Microsoft Azure. You will work in partnership with our IT software development teams and wider operational business, to support the delivery of new cloud service solutions and their ongoing maintenance.
Duties will include providing technical support for the maintenance of IT Infrastructure and platforms, as part of a wider infrastructure engineering community. You will represent your specialism on relevant projects and programmes, providing advice and guidance as required.
In addition you will plan and manage technical changes related to your specialism, whilst ensuring that requirements are met and service levels continue to be achieved.

To meet the requirements of this role, you will hold a qualification in IT or a related area (Degree level or equivalent) and/or have experience in an IT field.
You will have a proven in depth knowledge of working in a Windows or Azure environment and deploying to Cloud Hosting providers. You will have extensive knowledge of Infrastructure as code and automation/orchestration technologies, such as pipelines, Terraform.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of high level planning and managing technical change, while gathering information, analysis and problem solving.
Effective communication skills, including ability to interact and build working relationships with engineers and other stakeholders are essential.
Due to Covid-19, the role will initially be home based so an induction and training will be carried out remotely, with full support from the team. Once safe to do so, your home office will be located in the vibrant waterfront city of Plymouth.
