About the opportunity

Our Water and Catchment Management sector provides a focus for advising our clients on delivering sustainable drainage, flood risk management and civil engineering solutions. Water and Catchment Management comprises in excess of 400 staff based in the UK and Europe, but with reach into the Middle East, Australasia and America.

The successful person will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.




About you

You are an enthusiastic problem solver, who likes to innovate and find new and improved ways to contribute. Keen to expand technical capability, you are looking for opportunities to work on a variety of flood management projects. You have a keen interest in natural processes and water management and want to grow your knowledge and experience by working with diverse teams on multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities will include:



  • Production of outline and detailed design elements for flood management projects



  • Production of Flood Risk Assessments



  • Assistance in development of methodologies for new commissions



  • Drawing production



  • GIS delivery

Here's What You'll Need:



  • Undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in Civil Engineering



  • Awareness of relevant legislation, planning policy, guides and design standards relating to flood risk management and drainage strategies



  • Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team



  • Excellent literacy, communication, analytical and numeracy skills



  • Excellent interpersonal skills



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications



  • Proficient in AutoCAD



  • Active interest in the industry
