Role Overview

Summary

This is a new role on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract initially to support the Service Risk & Control Manager in the formation of the risk component for the newly created Project community. The primary desired outcomes are to enable us to build up the operational resilience, FCA systems and controls required for this project.

The role requires working closely with differing tower leads across Service, Solutions, EITS, Data Office and B2B to identify, assess and report key risks and issues within Run and to help shape the action plans required to control these risks.

The key areas that the role will focus on are the adherence of policies and regulations associated with Information Security, Technology resilience, Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery, Operational Risk, Quality and Compliance. The Risk and Control Co-Ordinator will be responsible to assist, and where required, lead reviews in order to effectively manage and monitor the risk and performance on behalf of the project Exec team

Key Responsibilities

Incident Management: Assist and where required, lead incidents to closure. Help prevent further incidents with post incident reviews and as required, process improvements
Under the guidance of the Global Business Continuity Office (GBCO), periodically deliver business continuity scenario, training and relocation tests in the context of the project

Support in compiling papers for the project Exec, as well as supporting with documentation of minutes and key actions.

Support in the maintenance of a Risk and Control Self-Assessment and Risk Registers.

Support in the maintenance of the Scorecard Metrics.

Support with monthly submissions to GRM Risk Management Committee.

Produce reporting for submission to the Risk & Control Director to provide oversight of management of Loss Events and Issues across the project

Working knowledge of Solutions and EITS desirable
Previous operational risk experience, ideally in line 1
Analytical in approach
Confident in presenting and engaging at all levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong planning and organisational skills
Business measures and results driven
Strong relationship management
