The T&R business comprises a number of complimentary practices within 2 lines of business (LOBs) TALENT and REWARD. Initially the Resource Manager will be responsible for T&R TALENT LOB , you will be responsible for the deployment of our consultants across the Talent & Rewards business across the GB geography. You will liaise with consultants, managers and the leadership on a daily basis to ensure the efficient and optimal deployment of the consulting talent on the pipeline of project and annuity work, with the aim of achieving a commercially strong performance in terms of client delivery and optimal sales pitch resourcing whilst also providing growth, variety and challenge for the consultants. In addition the role will be responsible for balancing fulfilment through on shore, off shore and contractor resources.
As a Resource Manager you will play a key role in enabling an effective and proactive resourcing strategy for the business and work closely with managers, associates and the leadership team.

Improving and then sustaining an average level of utilization across the GB Talent business in order to meet and exceed financial goals for the business.
Ensuring that work is delivered by the right colleagues at the right levels which will ultimately drive better margin, client satisfaction, adherence to budgets and pricing.
Driving a better win-rate on opportunities by putting together a better pitch team of diverse skills aligned to client needs.
Reduction of time spent on non-billable non-value-add activity through better oversight, challenge and prioritization of time. Free up time to enable the teams to focus on client work and reduce non-billable activities. This will also lead to the team having a better work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities will include:
The ability to manage and implement an evolving resourcing model and able to manage multiple stakeholders as the new process takes shape and beds in.
Understand the business, the service offerings and the respective resource requirements by proactively liaising with leaders and consultants.
Be fully aware of total pipeline - sold work plus opportunities and internal priorities.
All contractors used in the business will be engaged and deployed through the Resource Manager and as such will have responsibility for the dealings with the MSP Fieldglass.
Advise senior managers on sales pitch resourcing, billable project resourcing and non-billable project resourcing, providing skills gap analysis and solutions as appropriate.
Agree guidelines and governance model for sales pitch resourcing and non-billable project investments with GB Talent leaders and how these non-billable resourcing decisions will fit into the bigger picture as part of the same process.
Agree scope and governance model with GB Talent leadership for where the resourcing applies and where it does not in T&R GB Talent with a focus on advisory services across the Business but recognizing that some advisory practices get work in different ways (e.g. Talent Management and Organisational Alignmnet smaller pieces of work may be resourced in a different process to Communication and Change projects).
Chair a periodic Resourcing meeting as determined by the governance model.
Identify resourcing solutions using technology and a central resourcing model across T&R Talent; taking into consideration requirements outlined from business, availability of resource and skills and individuals' development needs.
Partner with leadership to assess and plan for future resource requirements, based on outputs from targeting, levels of attrition and skills shortages, sales pitch win rates and win/loss feedback, ensuring headcount and utilisation levels are at least in line with budget for the geography.
Support the strategic Workforce planning for the Practices, LOBs and the overall Business helping the Business align on a target operating model and moving towards that model over time.
Production and analysis of various management reports/MI and forecasts including the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) based around deployment, utilisation, available utilisation, varaiance of utilisation across colleagues and teams, revenue, developed business and sales pitch win rates.
Optimise the utilisation of staff across Practices, LOBs and the Business, prioritising work and acting as decision maker in any escalated issues.
Provide quality assurance by proactively asking for project manager's feedback regarding the staffing decision.
Factor in consultants' personal development plans as a key element of deployment decision making.
Build and maintain relationships and proactively liaise with senior managers to understand resource requirements of their Practice.
Resolve resourcing conflicts by being creative and innovative in use of resource, liaising with project managers, relevant leaders and balancing local utilisation with offshore resource options and the use and deployment of contractors.
Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively across teams (cross-Practice within a LOB, cross-Business between HCB Businesses, cross-Segment between Segments and between local GB teams and Resource Managers from other geographies or our offshore centre in Manila).
Coach project managers and leaders regarding the resourcing model.
Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at multiple levels.
Key clients will be the LOB and Business Leaders assisting them in delivering strong business performance, improving sales success rate, supporting their internal priorities and ensuring colleague development and growth.
Collaborate with consultants at all levels to ensure delivery of high-quality services and products to clients.
Collaborate with project leads to identify project deliverables and support them to meet established deadlines and attend team or client meetings as appropriate to understand business needs.
Participate in and present analyses/resourcing reports in leadership meetings and working sessions.
Attend internal proposal meetings to understand resource implications of potential new work and provide challenge where the Practice, LOB or Business is resource constrained.
Build proficient, diverse, cost-effective client project teams to maximise the value and service delivered to the client.
Gather ongoing feedback from the GB T&R leadership team, consultants and project teams to ensure that their needs are being appropriately and effectively met.
Support and partner with project managers to manage resources appropriately across sales pitches and projects. This will enable them to ensure sales pitches are effective with higher win rates and projects are delivered to scope, budget and commitment, ensuring profitable delivery and client satisfaction.
Support colleagues in meeting billable hour goals and managing workload.
Produce weekly, monthly and annual reports around workforce planning and utilisation as well as reports used for revenue forecasting. This includes reports for headcount planning and potential global mobility.
Collaborating with Finance and GB leaders to stay abreast of GB Practice, LOB and Business financial results and forecasts and how staffing levels, recognizing contributions from off shore and contractor resources may need to adjust to meet needs while still moving towards the T&R GB target operating model over time.
Proven experience and successful track record as a resourcing manager or consultant with interest in resource/workforce planning.
The ability to see the “big picture”, leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients' business challenges.
