Summary of Role

As a Operations Associate you will support the Research team, who conduct research into investment managers and markets on behalf of Willis Towers Watson's clients. The main focus of the role will be to take ownership of the structured assessment method which objectively assesses manager data.

The Manager Research team assists in driving our clients' decision making by sourcing the most appropriate ideas and ensuring we have the best solutions to implement them. We have one of the largest teams in the industry with over 100 researchers across the world's major investment hubs following one global, integrated research process. Our expertise is built on a foundation of in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis, combining a thorough understanding of each asset class with the ability to identify skilled investment managers.

The Role

Maintaining and improve Invest Connect, Willis Towers Watson's asset manager information sharing website, by liaising with the systems team who are responsible for its development
Evolve the methodology behind the assessment to make it more robust and improve the quality of the assessment
Take ownership of the process behind the assessment and coordinating the various teams involved
Interacting with asset managers, researchers and consultants to help them understand the requirement and assessment

The Requirements

  • Finance, accounting experience through consulting, accounting, fund management or investment research roles
  • Good understanding/experience of statics and data science
  • Enquiring and analytically minded with a logical approach
  • Experience working with databases and knowledge of SQL desirable
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to understand complex processes
  • Highly competent user of Excel with a focus on details and interest in problem solving
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
