About the Role

Base Location: Perth

Salary:£45,592 - £55,653 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible working options available

As Outage Coordinator, you will provide direct support to the hydro operations centre to enable the safe and efficient operation of the Hydro portfolio.

Some of your main accountabilities will include;

- Delivery of short term and long term production forecasting for all hydro assets whilst ensuring optimal use of water storage.

- Ensuring all outages are sufficiently planned and scheduled to enable the Hydro operations centre to complete activities safely.

- Liaising with third parties including national Grid and various utilities to ensure outages are adequately prepared and scheduled.

- Making sure the reporting of outages are conducted in compliance with regulatory bodies.

- Developing the annual production plan including the modelling of running schedules to optimise water storage use.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- A degree level qualification in an engineering or science subject or equivalent extensive experience within a similar position.

- Experience working within an operational environment preferably in power/Hydro generation.

- A strong understanding of HV networks and associated safety rules.

- Knowledge of the energy market and understanding of Grid code requirements.

- Excellent communication and problem solving skills, with the ability to adapt these when required.
