The role is a Quantiative Associate working as part of the Quantitative Strategy team, reporting to the Head of Solutions Research within the Solutions Group.
Contribute towards the development of investment solutions for a broad range of clients
Assist research, IP development and prototype model development
Assist in the research and enhancement of existing quantitative tools
Run bespoke ALM analysis for institutional clients
Contribute to the development of our Solutions technological infrastructure, working closely with developers
Assist in the drafting of thought leadership material including presentations, blogs and white papers
Interact with key external and internal stakeholders to discuss technical analysis and relevant market issues.
Excellent academic record including a Bachelor's degree in a quantiative disclipline (minimum 2-1). Further degrees (Master's, PhD) and professional qualifications (CFA, FIA) are desirable but not essential
Demonstrable relevant experience within financial services
A strong interest in research focussed on solving client problems from an objective-driven perspective
Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills
An innovative mindset. A track-record of creative problem solving is a plus
Proficient in Excel and other MS office tools
Solid programming skills. Knowledge of Matlab or Python is desirable
Strong communication skills (especially written)
High attention to detail
Well organised, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Self-starter with a proactive attitude and collaborative nature.
