This is a key role within the UK Marketing team during a period of business transformation. It is responsible for developing compelling client value and internal propositions which differentiate us from the competition and create value for both our clients and business segments. The role is also responsible for ensuring the new propositions are implemented and adopted into relationship, sales and marketing channels ultimately supporting our growth ambitions and increasing client engagement and satisfaction.
The role will be primarily be focused on delivering new go-to-market propositions for our corporate and private client franchises whilst also providing input and supporting with our brand proposition and individual product propositions. As such the position will involve close collaboration with product managers, marketing and the wider business including the client-facing and sales teams and senior leadership
Develop and own the roadmap to deliver the corporate and private client propositions, both immediate and the longer term programme of work
Work with client-facing teams, insight and marketing to understand and document our target audiences and needs
Work with our product and client facing teams to map our current offering, key strengths and differentiators against the client needs and choice factors. Highlight gaps to inform the future product and proposition roadmap.
Use market and competitor insight to understand our positioning and potential areas of competitive advantage
Develop the new corporate and private client value propositions which are aligned to commercial plans, client needs and differentiate us in our chosen target markets
Champion the new propositions across the business, ensuring they are agreed, well understood and embedded across all points of use (sales, marketing, relationship management, Investor Relations)
Work closely with sales and relationship teams to embed the new propositions in our sales process, materials and training guide
Work closely with our brand and segment marketing teams to develop compelling messaging and campaigns which represent our brand values and resonate with our target audience,
What are we looking for in a successful candidate?
Experience of developing new propositions from scratch and taking them successfully to market
Excellent understanding of the proposition lifecycle and go to market approach
Strong understanding of different market and customer research approaches and applying them to proposition development
Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and pricing/profitability
Track record of successful proposition and associated programme delivery particularly in a relationship or service-led context and/or Financial Services
Strong understanding of sales and marketing and embedding the customer value proposition into these channels
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills/ability to influence with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally, specifically in working in a 'matrixed' environment
