You will hold the overall accountability for the development of our global propositions within a defined Capability area. This role will be responsible for creating the strategy and leading the development of propositions, as well as owning the shadow P&L for our portfolio of propositions. As member of the Global Capability Leadership team, play a leading role in the development of a best-in-class proposition management function within dunnhumby.
What you'll be doing:
Set game-changing strategy for the Capability proposition portfolio based on market trends, industry requirements, client feedback, and analysis of best opportunities for broadening and deepening of our offer.
Accountable for proposition portfolio success and delivery of plans and budgets.
Devise, review, update and support ideal solutions delivery and operating models.
Undertake strategic portfolio reviews, assessing user satisfaction, sales performance, and product competitiveness.
Lead the process to gather industry requirements for Capability portfolio, validate whether we can already meet them through existing products and services in our catalogue, and prioritise those which we cannot meet using standard commercial criteria.
Incorporate prioritised industry requirements into our sales roadmaps and backlogs for the portfolio, and determine whether these should be new products or services or enhancements to existing products and services.
Develop rigorous business cases and plans for prioritised Capability propositions on sales roadmaps, agree these with the Executive Team, and review delivery progress .
Work with Product Managers and Data Scientists in Technology & Product to translate sales roadmaps into product and science roadmaps, showing when we will make propositions generally available and when we will deploy them to specific markets.
Share sales roadmaps regularly with internal stakeholders, confirming that these are aligned with the latest business development and client delivery plans.
Work with Commercial, Pre-Sales and Marketing to develop and deliver a competitve Go-to-market strategy for the Capability portfolio, including target sectors and accounts, commercial models, launch plans, marketing collateral and training programmes.
Own the shadow P&L, and work with Finance and Commercial teams to set competitive pricing for the portfolio and deliver sustainable profit.
Work with Commercial, Pre-Sales and Marketing to provide proposition input to business development activities including Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and pitches.
Lead, develop and manage a high-performing team of proposition professionals.
Help to develop and deliver an L&D programme for the portfolio to Capability and Commercial team members, ensuring that they are equipped to support Pre-Sales, Post-sales and Delivery work, as appropriate.

What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
Extensive experience of commercial product management in the software industry.
Significant experience with competitor offerings, propositions, products and services.
