Role Purpose

British Council Transformation will require almost all aspects of MyHR (Success Factors) Employee Central to be updated, from foundation objects and position data through rules and workflows to role based permissions, and technical interfaces between modules.
Uploads to move employees into new structures and positions, will need careful management to ensure that management hierarchies remain in place to execute/ approve transactions, and to avoid overwriting promotions, job changes or other in progress BAU transactions.
In this role the project manager will be managing a reimplementation / validation of 5 complex, interfaced modules across 18 business areas, in 110 countries simultaneously ( where original implementation was by module by region). The complexity and time critical nature of this project management activity is significant.

You willmanage the implementation of British Council Transformation in MyHR across all business divisions (18) and all legal entities (110).

Main opportunities and challenges for this role:
  • Provides opportunity to work with all business areas across the British Council business.
  • Must hold all involved accountable to interdependent workplans eg selection, people management and GIS/Finance for interfaces and data exchanges.
  • Impact of errors and delays or misunderstandings could lead to significant ER or business issues, incorrect payments, or a need to roll back systems data for upto 2,000 employees at any time.


Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:

Provides opportunity to work with all business areas across the British Council business.
Must hold all involved accountable to interdependent workplans eg selection, people management and GIS/Finance for interfaces and data exchanges.
Impact of errors and delays or misunderstandings could lead to significant ER or business issues, incorrect payments, or a need to roll back systems data for upto 2,000 employees at any time.

Role specific knowledge and experience:

  • Experience managing large scale HR data/ systems implementation/ updates
  • Must fully understand implications of data uploads in HR systems
  • Good excel skills
  • Experience with Success Factors Employee Central
  • Must have a strong track record of holding workstream leaders to account across a complex/ global business.
  • Able to work as trusted advisor in resolving issues and mitigating risks, with a depth of understanding in HR systems, data and process.
