Coordination of function and/or programme plans to support overall programme and product delivery.
Maintain pipelines for the programme (policy implementation/ministerial asks with resources), internal projects, decisions and change control, in conjunction with the Delivery, Commercial and Product Management teams to identify priorities as resources (budget or people) become available.
Coordinate risk, issue action and decision workshops within the programme.
Develop and maintain decision and action trackers and ensure they are up to date, accurate and managed at the appropriate governance meetings.
Identify, schedule and track key decisions to ensure programmes, projects and operations continue without delay.
Work with senior stakeholders to ensure decisions are understood and owned, both inside and outside of BDUK.
Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate. Identify and work with related projects to manage interdependencies.
Manage and lead the project/programme to deliver the agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints.
Day to day management of the project/programme and associated team. Provide effective leadership and management controls. Accountable to the Programme level leadership to ensure Programme delivery against plans etc. Manage effective transition between project/programme phases.
Identify skill requirements; and deploy and develop resources.
Deliver the agreed Business Case benefits and outcomes. Ensure appropriate Benefits Realisation Strategy is in place, and monitor longer term delivery of benefits against the Business Case.
Support effective governance and decision making. Provide reporting and engage in mechanisms that hold you, as Project Manager, to account for delivery.Responsibilities
