dunnhumby is looking for a talented Product Director!
You will drive the creation of optimal products to fulfil dunnhumby's strategy, taking overall accountability for a defined product portfolio - overseeing relevant product roadmaps, owning product strategies and managing product P&Ls with propositions teams. You will play a leading role in the development of a best-in-class product management function in dunnhumby and enable effective ways of working between the product team and their related technology and global solutions teams. What you'll be doing:
Act as the overall director for a portfolio of products and platforms.
Own the creation and management of a portfolio of products aligned to a particular sector or capability area, with accountability for the assigned portfolio.
Engage with global solutions and commercial leaders to shape the strategic direction for the current and future set of products in the portfolio.
Establish the appropriate communication forums and channels to engage the wider business and ensure visibility of product roadmaps. Drive deployment best practice and encourage on-time delivery.
Be an active player in the development and execution of the overall product strategy (aligned to the capability strategy and technical architecture) with accountability for all future developments.
Be a leader in the assigned product area of expertise on the current issues, trends and opportunities in the industry. Together with the relevant propositions team, instigate the creation of market, customer and competitor analysis to understand threats and opportunities.
Foster a culture of user research. Work with capability leaders to engage senior stakeholders within existing and new clients, to understand their current issues and anticipated future problems.
Work with marketing and global capability colleagues to drive the creation of appropriate marketing and sales materials. Communicate the product portfolio roadmap internally and externally.
Understand all products within the dunnhumby suite, to enable optimisation and alignment of product features. Drive the change required to enable consistency and relevant connectivity within the overall dunnhumby product portfolio.
Lead the setting and monitoring of appropriate metrics to evaluate product and portfolio success and ensure they are used to continuously improve the product and ways of working.
Obsess about the value equation, ensuring dunnhumby products create clear value for customers and dunnhumby. Create relevant business cases for change and new investment where applicable.
Collaborate with finance on product performance, tracking revenue and development costs to create a true product P&L. Work collaboratively across dunnhumby functions to assist the sales cycle / process. Ensure that all products in the portfolio adhere to any changes to legislation.
Lead, coach and develop a high performing team of product management professionals. Lead the implementation and building of best practices across the broader dunnhumby product management team.
