Job Title: Portfolio Senior Analyst
Business Unit: Change & Delivery
Location: Flexible, ideally Newcastle/Glasgow
Salary: £35,000 - £44,300 per annum DOE
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time

Reporting into the Portfolio Manager within PMO, we have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking Senior Analyst to support us in delivering best in class executive reporting for the change and delivery portfolio. As a Portfolio Senior Analyst, you'll be responsible for providing critical guidance and overview at a Change & Delivery level so high standards of accurate and excellence is required. It's not all about numbers! - We're looking for someone who loves building relationships as you'll be leading conversations with a range of stakeholders within Change & Delivery as well as the wider COO function. Day to day you'll:
  • Collate all reporting for Change governance forums, ensuring high standards of accuracy and excellence to support executive reporting.
  • Ensure tiering decision-making matrix is kept up to date and applied appropriately and consistently across the change portfolio to ensure appropriate reporting of programmes and projects.
  • Work in partnership with SPMO and across change in the ongoing development of best practice for reporting and support effective roll out and adoption.
  • Working with peers in Change & Delivery, to identify and roll out best practice and ensure the best outcome is achieved for the bank's customers.
  • Implement governance standards across the change portfolio using reviews to ensure improvements, standardisation and efficiency.
  • Maintain delivery portfolio analytics/trends to identify common challenges and themes for broader consideration.
  • Facilitating timely business case review and approval across Change & Delivery ensuring progress through to approval is tracked.
  • Support requests for additional reporting both internally and externally as required.

To be successful you'll have:
  • Experience in a PMO or Analyst role
  • Understanding of commercial pressures on the bank
  • Keen understanding and experience of the structures in operation within the bank
  • Experience of financial institutions including key drivers of performance
  • Highly effective communication at all levels
  • Positive influencing of stakeholders
  • Project delivery experience of projects
  • Experience in an Operational Risk role
  • Operations/admin management experience involving accountability for production of regular reports to Board Level audience
