Base Location: Reading

Salary: £23,000 - £36,000 depending on skills and experience

Working Pattern: Permanent | 37 hours per week

About the Department

The Enterprise Division comprises four companies: Contracting, Rail, Telecoms and Utilities. The SSE Enterprise Projects and Operational Support Team support the entire Enterprise division leading the deployment of best practice in assurance, project management, engineering and in handling strategic projects.

SSE Enterprise Utilities is the Distributed Energy and Private Networks business of SSE plc. We finance, own, operate and maintain energy infrastructure for commercial, industrial and residential customers - providing them with a market leading project development service and certainty of operational performance and asset management.

What is the Role

SSE Enterprise has an ambition to grow significantly over the next five years and as such we have an exciting opportunity for a PMO Analyst to join our SSE Enterprise PMO team to support Major Projects (Distributed Energy).

You will manage the PMOs functions in support of the Major Projects team including planning, reporting, change control, document management and resource demand management.

The PMO Analyst will work across multiple projects, within the Major Project function to provide data analysis support to members of the team. Your responsibilities will extend to liaising with staff in other departments and with external contacts to maintain PMO processes and documents and you will support the business with reports and data for concise punctual submissions on a regular basis.

You will source, collate and produce weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports and standardise; maintaining all PMO templates. You will ensure all document reviews are undertaken on time, partnering with stakeholders and project teams to eliminate errors and anomalies. You will maintain formal documentation for approvals, change and decisions within PMO processes and provide logistical support for training courses and management.

You will be required to handle large volumes of complex data and employ analysis skills to draw recommendations for business leaders. You will have the opportunity to get involved in multiple projects working with several stakeholders, ensuring our business is set up to deliver our growth plans.

What do I need?

The ideal PMO Analyst will have extensive experience in either project management or a project delivery environment. Prince 2, PMP or equivalent would be beneficial however, is not essential. However, you will have good working knowledge of key project processes and have experience of high-pressure environment.

As an experienced PMO Analyst you will understand critical success factors and KPIs for a

Project and recognise key milestones, resource efficiencies and output targets.

Demonstrable knowledge of Project and Programme governance and be able to implement and manage processes is required. We also need you to have sound knowledge of change management programmes.

You will be a pro-active individual combined with the ability to work as part of a team. You will demonstrate a high level of confidence interacting with internal and external stakeholders, handling objections, challenging process and demonstrating resilience whilst working to deadline driven deliverables. You will, of course, be working as part of a highly supportive PMO team.

As an influential leader you will have exceptional mentoring and team working skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft products and Sharepoint is essential to this role along

With an organised individual who can prioritise and execute tasks without supervision.
