About this vacancy
The Children's Operating Theatres situated at The Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brightonare seeking a highly motivated and experienced Perioperative Practitioner to help support the delivery of elective and emergency paediatric and neonatal surgery. These band 5 posts provide an excellent opportunity for a qualified nurse or ODP to gain further experience in paediatric and neonate perioperative practice.
The operating theatres provide for a range of specialties including general and neonatal surgery, laparoscopic surgery, ENT, maxillo-facial, dental, and orthopaedics. We have dedicated orthopaedic trauma lists and provide 24 hour CEPOD cover. The post holders will be expected to participate in the on-call roster on a regular basis.
Up-to-date post registration experience, in the perioperative speciality is essential. If you have anaesthetic experience you will be provided with the opportunity to maintain your skills.

You will be supported by your line manager in developing your career pathway in perioperative practice through on-going support and access to learning and development opportunities.
