Office of the CFO Finance is a successful and fast growing team which is establishing Risk Assurance as the leaders of trust in finance functions. We are helping organisations identify and manage the risk of change and disruption that finance functions are currently facing or will face in the future. We help to address the challenges of achieving increasingly demanding standards of process, control and reporting whilst continuously driving for efficiency, performance improvement and the need for finance to become more insightful business partners.
Responsibilities As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive business process risk and control and finance experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to
Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
Be involved in the financial management of clients
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
Train, coach, and supervise staff
Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
Skills & Experience
A delivery track record of leading work streams within finance change projects either in industry or practice;
Degree level with additional qualifications such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA/MBA;
Experience of process and controls transformation
Strong financial accounting (Financial control) or management accounting (Financial planning and analysis) experience with a grasp of current accounting principles
An understanding of standard Finance systems such as EPM and ERP
Experience of leading and developing teams
Demonstrated ability to advise senior management on alternative solutions and risks with experience of presenting and influencing at a senior level
5+ years of relevant experience
Desirable skills & experience
Data architecture, data management, chart of accounts design
An understanding of key systems architecture for finance functions
Exposure to data analytics or robotics process automation and other disruptive technologies within a finance function
Previous experience in a management or a senior role gained from within a finance department
Experience of working in a shared service or global process environment
