UK Field Services has over 50 years' experience working in the construction industry. Our core business is the delivery of projects and programmes in partnership with our clients. The purpose of this role is to efficiently and effectively manage all manufacturing and sub-contracted manufacturing activities for JFS UK, to provide the required service to all customers within our Lines of Business.
Accountable for ensuring that the workshops are a safe environment to work in and that all procedures are adhered to.
Accountable for ensuring that all manufacturing projects are delivered within budget, to maximize margins.
To implement and administer a planning system that ensures that all work is completed and delivered to the client on time.
Reports to: Head of Business Operations
Line Management of: Planning and Blue Collar Fabrication Workforce in the Humber workshops
Recruitment of Staff: Works with the Resource Coordinators and HR on search, selection and recruitment of all Blue Collar employees
In conjunction with the HSE team, develop and monitor safety KPI's and put plans in place to improve performance
Work collaboratively with the SHE team to ensure new initiatives are implemented effectively.
Lead by example and ensure that all procedures are complied with.
Ensure that all workshop jobs are delivered to the agreed cost.
Develop and maintain a cost and change management tool to support the effective delivery of all jobs.
Accountable for workshop and facility budgets within the agreed limits
Responsible for timely invoicing of Workshop activities
Liaise with LOB Directors and PM's to plan 6 month lookahead for the Workshops
Develop and implement a robust planning tool to enable on time delivery of all jobs.
Develop and implement a workshops resource planning tool to manage effectively deliver the agreed plan.
Liaise with QA to ensure that all procedures and policies implemented in the Workshops support a high quality and cost effective output.
Accountable to ensure that the client is delighted with the service provided by the Workshops.
Capability and Capacity
Develop and maintain a manufacturing strategy that supports the LOB's and enhances any project proposals. This should include a sub contract strategy where applicable, and a facilities plan which allows for growth.
Develop a set of KPI's for the Workshop which enables JFS to both demonstrate and improve performance.
Develop and implement workshop reporting.Qualifications & Experience:
Essential: In addition to the above the successful candidate must be
an experienced Operations Manager with a track record in delivering great customer service.
Be able to demonstrate experience in managing budgets and providing monthly forecasts
Understanding and experience in resource planning
