Manager, EU ATS Initiatives, Communication and Engagement (L6)
Business area: Operations - Amazon Transportation Services Europe (EU ATS)
Location: Luxembourg, London, Munich

Amazon Transportation Services Europe (EU ATS) is the 'middle mile' delivery space for our customers and includes teams that support Air, Sort Centers and Line Haul operations throughout Europe.
Reporting to the EU ATS HR Director, you will play a critical role in developing and executing employee communications and engagement strategies and programs for a diverse and heterogeneous set of populations across the EU ATS organisation in Europe. You will work closely with multiple internal stakeholders, including operations, business, corporate as well as functional teams such HR, ER, PR, Community Relations and Internal Comms, at numerous sites across Europe to create and/or strengthen communication within and about EUATS and facilitate the conception and implementation of correspondent structures/processes/strategies. You will utilize your excellent communication and influencing skills to drive employee communication and engagement with a view to ensuring that we provide a consistent top class employee experience across the ATS organisation who can deliver an excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Working with functional teams to communicate ATS business priorities in support of the development and implementation of ATS specific strategies;
• Acting as a consistent point of contact for functional organizations organized by geography for quick resolution to urgent needs;
• Auditing and improving internal communication mechanisms within EU ATS;
• Orchestrating the creation and distribution of relevant content across the organisation;
• Creating and/or collecting, editing and coordinating distribution of timely and relevant communications through the different channels, as well as measuring the impact;
• Conceptualising and executing employee and community engagement strategies and programs that engage diverse internal audiences across multiple sites;
• Managing events with regional impact/importance, such as All-Hands, community/CSR events, thematic events on sustainability or diversity and inclusion, from planning to execution to debrief/follow-up stage;
• Develop EUATS engagement programs for different peak moments (e.g. Prime Day and Q4 Peak), including creating the concept, developing the narrative, procuring design elements, managing logistics, monitoring proper implementation at local levels, developing reports for senior leadership;
• Develop and implement employee recognition/reward schemes for different employee populations;


The successful candidate will be progressive, strategic and customer-obsessed with the credibility and gravitas to succeed in a fast moving and customer-focused commercial environment. The successful candidate will:
• Have 7+ years working experience in Economics, HR, PR/Communications, Marketing or related function in a global and multi-national company
• Have a track record of building effective stakeholder/employee relationships to deliver business results
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills - the ability to formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues and create a concise and well-written narrative to express it
• Have a proven hands-on attitude, be flexible and adaptable
• Be able to demonstrate strong instincts and judgment in guiding business units to desired results, including in narrow timeframes
• Extremely proactive -- enjoys taking responsibility and making things happen
• Organized and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
• Team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
• Have intellectual curiosity and the ability to provide valuable contributions to concepts and content
• Pay painstaking attention to important details and deliver work to a high standard
• Ability to travel when needed for in-person meetings, events and engagements


Preferred Qualifications

• Agility to function in an innovative, high volume, fast paced and customer focussed environment is essential;
• Able to operate with discretion, reliability and role model our leadership principals;
• Able to handle sensitive and personal information in a professional and confidential manner;
• Able to work independently, multitask, organise and prioritise workload and work to strict deadlines - the ability to deliver quality results against challenging deadlines is paramount;
• Experience working with employees of all levels, from the shop floor associate to managers and senior leaders
