Job description

This is a senior position holding officer title of Director within the Directors' and Officers' (D&O) division of FINEX GB.

You will be responsible for a portfolio of clients and prospects with accountability for retention of clients as well as new business development.

This role reports directly to the head of FINEX D&O in GB.

The Role
  • Directly handle a small and strategic number of key large/complex accounts
  • Function as a senior resource on other FI accounts within the division; participate in client communications/conference calls/meetings where high level, technical expertise is needed
  • Contribute to the resolution of complex claims matters
  • Maintain meaningful, senior-level market relationships
  • Set growth strategy; spearhead new business opportunities
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials, quarterly market updates
  • Assist in the creation of new products designed to meet existing needs of clients/evolving exposures
  • Represent FINEX FI/Willis Towers Watson on industry panels, webinars, social media, etc.
  • Foster relationships with Lead Relationship Managers and Client Relationship Directors
  • Be a member of D&O Division Executive committee
  • Assist in achieving the goals and objectives of the D&O Division and FINEX GB
  • Support the overall operational governance and decision-making process
  • Support management and WTW in the management of risks
  • Overseas travel as and when required

The Requirements

  • Significant insurance experience in the financial institutions market, including client executive and broking experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the FINEX lines of insurance
  • Strong existing client relationships; potential to move business
  • Proven track record of delivering high levels of client service
  • Understanding of and ability to execute complex placements
  • Experienced knowledge of insurance markets globally in order to deal effectively with client and Willis Towers Watson needs
  • Knowledge of both broking and claims processes and procedures
  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to analyze and provide concise conclusions
  • Advocacy and sales skills - demonstrated interest and ability to win new business, lead RFP opportunities on behalf of FINEX
  • Proficient computer skills relevant to Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web-based applications
  • Proficiency in analytics and benchmarking
  • Solution focused with a personal drive to achieve significant change in relatively short periods of time, and able to motivate teams to focus and deliver on priorities
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Clear and compelling communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
  • Business and political awareness
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, insurers and external specialists
  • Holds all regulatory licences, permissions and technical or other requirements applicable under UK legislation and FCA rules and guidelines
