Job description

We're currently looking for a Robotics Developer to lead the Service Robotics Team in Nottingham on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for robotics and automation to broaden their career in a FTSE 50, market leading organisation.

The role

For this role you'll help drive the elimination or reduction of manual tasks and activities, with an overall goal to improve speed, consistency, and accuracy of processes. You will develop Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Robotic Desktop Automation (RDA) solutions in accordance with approved process improvement requests and in line with guidelines, standards and policies. You will collaborate with requestors to define requirements and to review, map and optimise processes. You will design, develop and test RPA scripts and processes to ensure that they're in working order and are compliant. You'll work with the global centre of excellence to schedule release of robots and communicate with the requestor to ensure the appropriate change management and communications are planned and executed before release. You will also monitor proper operations of the robot during the initial operation post release/deployment of the robot, promptly addressing any issues and fine-tuning as needed.

You will be able to translate complex functional and technical concepts into easy to understand documentation and proposals and have expertise within Excel macros or similar. You will work well within an Agile environment and display experience with developing as part of SCRUM.

For this role you'll need to have experience with Automation Anywhere and/or NICE, but it would be beneficial if you also had the below experience:

  • SQL and JavaScript, or VB script
  • Oracle EBS or similar ERP system (SAP, Peoplesoft)
  • Salesforce.com or similar CRM solution
