IT Audit Specialist The IT Audit Specialist plays a key role in designing, maturing and maintaining policy and platform compliance activities within Experian Information Technology Services (EITS) in the UK region. Reporting into the EITS Risk & Compliance Manager, the role comprises several core components:
Partnering with EITS Management to perform, maintain, expand and enhance the policy compliance assessment processes, adhering to agreed schedules and meeting quality requirements.
Supporting, advising and providing effective challenge to EITS to influence behaviour and help ensure compliance to policies and standards are key components of 1st line decision-making.
Define, develop, maintain and present metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate improvements and the state of the EITS compliance landscape.
Act as an internal and external (client) audit liaison for EITS in the UK.
Key Responsibilities The role's function is to promote a culture of risk and compliance awareness within the UK and EMEA EITS organisations through fulfilment of a testing plan.
Engaging in internal and external audit processes, recording issues and gathering evidence for closure;
Performs policy and platform compliance reviews, escalating by exception;
Provides security risk and compliance MI to management;
Maintains process management and documentation management standards;
Maintains certifications and standards e.g. ISO27001 / COBIT 5 in region;
Supports internal, external and certification audits;
Identifies compliance learning and training needs for EITS.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will be educated to university degree level in computer science engineering, technology or similar, will possess a relevant technical professional qualification (e.g. CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CISM) and will have 2 years' experience of working in an IT role that operates to 'best practice' standards. Experience of cross-regional work for a regulated multinational company, practical understanding of how IT underpins business activities and strong understanding of risk and control principles are also desirable. The candidate will need to be a problem solver who has influencing skills and can gain buy-in from staff and management alike. Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills are vital, as are the abilities to work independently, proactively and collaboratively.
