AIG Investmentsprovides investment advisory and asset management services to AIG. The Investment department's platform spans multiple asset classes, including public and private corporates; commercial real estate debt and equity; residential investments; and equities, alternatives and external mandates. The role is working within a team that has a dual investment mandate covering both non-US residential investments and structured alternatives.

This is a varied role seeking someone who can balance transaction underwriting and portfolio management across a range of sectors and asset classes.
The team has a broad investment remit covering a range of transactions from vanilla securitisation deals to more bespoke loan financings and structured transactions, as such the role is suited to someone who has the capabilities to apply prior relevant experience to unfamiliar asset classes rather than being an 'expert' in any one area.
The primary focus of the role will be in the structured alternatives sector, which covers multiple asset types hence we are seeking someone who can think creatively when underwriting transactions.
In addition to the credit modelling of transactions, the role will include working with legal to review and comment on market standard transaction loan documents and with the support of the team manage transactions through the lifetime of the trade
The role will require collaborating with other team members and departments that specialise in credit, risk, liability and portfolio management, as well as having responsibility for taking transactions through credit committees.
AIG Investments has a flat structure with an open and collaborative culture.
You will be reporting directly into the Managing Director responsible for the business line, and will be encouraged and supported with running all aspects of transactions (e.g. credit, legal and portfolio management)
It is a very collegiate, team-oriented culture and progression is achieved through increasing responsibility alongside the development of deeper sector knowledge and taking on increasing parts of the investment process.

Degree level qualification
Good quantitative skills, which can be demonstrated through current and previous roles if not through your degree course
Five or more years in financial markets (banking, asset management or consulting), of which three or more years should be with investments.
Someone with an inquisitive mindset, who can combine detailed analysis with the ability to articulate and present the big picture
Good team player
Ability to organize and prioritize
