Job description

The Investigations Manager, Fraud, will perform investigations pursuant to fraudulent Vendor and customer activity providing efficient and effective resolution services as they relate to the protection of people, product and data for Amazon. This individual will be responsible for Vendor and customer Fraud investigations across EMEA marketplaces primarily. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for developing the investigative strategy for Vendor fraud leveraging field resources and internal partnerships to pursue and resolve Organized Retail Crime activity. This position is based in the UK.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Develops and implements a company wide investigative program related to Fraud activity and tailors it to EMEA
• Develops and pursues investigative strategy detailing investigative plans to facilitate case resolution at the appropriate scope and pace
• Analyses financial, background and inventory data to uncover fraudulent and/or abusive behaviours and eliminate them from the Amazon environment
• Develops and implements fraud models/strategies to mitigate fraud/loss while minimizing customer and operation impacts
• Develops and maintains positive field based relationships with Law Enforcement at local, state, and federal levels, as well as other retail loss prevention ORC organizations to identify, investigate and prosecute offenders
• Builds and fosters relationships with Legal, Vendor management, Customer Service, Field Loss Prevention and Logistics teams and various internal partners as required
• Serves as the investigative subject matter expert for Vendor investigations keeping abreast of key issues and strategies
• Manages multiple investigations simultaneously
• Identifies and develops appropriate reporting methods and mechanisms to maximize efficiencies and Vendor Fraud best practices across the enterprise


• Bachelor's Degree, PCI, CFE or equivalent professional experience
• Experience in criminal intelligence analysis, cyber fraud, asset protection, audit, risk management, or other related fields
• In-depth investigative experience identifying, resolving, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending mitigation enhancements.
• Strong Analytical Leader with effective deep dive and problem solving skills
. Experience with Excel and SQL
• Experience with Lexis Nexis, IBM i2 Analyst Notebook (or link analysis), MS Office Professional Suite


• Loss Prevention Interview and Interrogation certification, Wicklander-Zulawski is a plus
• Experience with investigative case file building and law enforcement presentations
• Warehousing, manufacturing or distribution experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills and a proven ability to influence others internally and externally
• Knowledge of Amazon systems and fulfillment center processes
• Ability to take calculated risks and challenge current practices to develop and deliver innovative solutions to meet or exceed customer expectations
